Hazmar has been providing quality engineering & I.T. consultancy since being founded in 1990. It is our mission to to provide specialist help to local business & private individuals, on a timely value-for-money basis.
The aim:
The company was founded by Mark Pattison B.Sc. M.Sc. on completion of his Master’s Degree (in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from Warwick University). This degree, together with has previous degree (Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from Bath University) and previous employment in engineering & aerospace companies, were heavily computer biased. The aim of the company was to provide I.T. consultancy to engineering companies from a qualified engineer who could properly understand the requirements, as well as the proposed solutions. As the company developed it acquired clients from other areas of business (and a number of private individuals), as well as specialist engineering skills relating to sheet metal design & manufacture.
Current competencies:
The current targeted competencies have their own sections on this site. There is, however, a common theme - that of getting value for money. It is very easy to splash out a five - or even six - figure sum and have a wonderful system in place. But not many people can justify this type of expenditure, especially when it has been specified & sold on the basis of sales targets & commissions rather than what is right for the customer. With some careful thought, and the involvement of professional consultants, a solution as least as good can often be implemented for a small fraction of the price.
